A lot of people have been asking - "what are the correct dimensions for the new facebook cover image?"
I thought I would give you the files and the help you need to make sure it is the right size.

As stated on facebook's website, the file should be 851x315px, but it must be at least 399 wide if you are going to use something smaller. When putting your design together make sure you follow the guidelines.
While we're at it, let's update your profile picture to be the right size too. 180x180px. Download profile image template
